So here is what I made with this gorgeous stamp set from Pink & Main with my fabulous WOW! Embossing Powders!
I love how cute these little birds are and you even get little baby birds too!
I stamped and embossed the birds using WOW! Embossing Pad with Platinum embossing powder - its my favourite!

I then used brush markers and a water brush to add all the colour details to the birds. I felt the birds could be whatever colour I wanted them to be - so it was pretty pink and girlie colours!  Just look at that gorgeous Platinum embossing!

I stamped my sentiment onto white card stock and cut to a banner shape and then added some blue ink around the edges using a Distress Oxide ink pad.

Inking around the edge of the card to create a frame draws your eye into the centre of the card, again I used a Distress Oxide ink pad.

To finish the card I added little dots of Glitter Glue in Stardust just to add that touch of sparkle to the background of my card.

I hope you like my card, I really enjoyed making it!

WOW! Embossing Powder Monthly Challenge - Shimmer

Hi everyone
Hope you are all well.

For my Challenge card this month I have used my Julie Hickey Designs Essential Poinsettia stamp set with the verse that comes with my Floral Tree stamp set.

I have used WOW! Embossing Powder - Copper Pearl not used this powder before and oh boy its gorgeous! Such a pretty soft tone to it and when I coloured the poinsettia's in with Distress Oxide Abondoned Coral they just went together so well. They were made for each other.

It gives me such a thrill to see my very own stamps - stamped and embossed - how gorgeous does that sentiment look!  Just fabulous!

Up close to see the gorgeous soft tones of that Copper Pearl Embossing!

How fabulous does my Poinsettia look in that wonderful embossing powder?
Hope you like it as much as I do!

I cut around the edge of the poinsettia to give a shaped edge to my card, then placed a strip of platinum glitter card stock behind.  A little inking around the edge of my card using abandoned coral and expresso, and a few sequins added and thats my card for today.

So this is what I have made today for this exciting Blog Hop, which I hope you like!

I used the gorgeous Pink Fresh Studio Fluer 1 Stamp set with the Hello with Botanicals die - oh there are so many fabulous flower stamps in this set, 17 in total which includes a large arrangement of flowers too - such a versatile set!
I started by stamping the flowers and leaves down the right hand edge of my card...

I created an inky background using the Tonic Nuvo Shimmer Powders - Violet Brocade and then die cut the 'hello' letters. I then covered them with WOW! Embossing pad and sprinkled over Clear Sparkle embossing powder and heated.

WOW! the sparkle is amazing!!

I then added the letter to my card front...
Colouring the flowers using Violet Brocade to match my letters.

I then cut around the flowers, giving the edge of my card lots of interest.
I stamped one of the flowers designs on a panel of inky background card stock and attached it to the inside back of my card...

I really love how my card turned out and cannot wait to have more of a play with this beautiful set of flower stamps and that 'hello' die.

You need to head over to Keeway Tsao ????????? to see more amazing inspiration from the awesome Design Teams!

Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge 29th August 2018

This weeks theme is: Anything Goes!

My final card for August as part of my....

The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of their post!

You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!!
All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!!
Good Luck to everyone!

Ive used Pink Fresh Studio Fleur 1 Stamp Set designed by Susan Driscoll, with some beautiful WOW! Embossing Powder : Bright White to heat emboss the design onto Watercolour card stock.

Once I'd embossed the design at the top and bottom of my watercolour card I then selected some of my favourite Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads : Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry.

I then set about colouring the design in - I find this so therapeutic - its good for the soul! I use a water brush with the ink pads to give a soft look.

I decided to add a bit of could around the edge of the white embossed design, making it pop off the paper more. I loved how the soft green really lifted the design so I repeated it on the opposite corner too.

Now to mount my panel to my card blank. I first cut a thin strip of gold card stock and attached it down the side of the panel. This really does add something to the panel.

Next I wanted to try something that I have seen the super talented, Jennifer McGuire, do recently. She heat embossed her sentiment onto a panel of vellum and attached it over her busy background - I loved how this looked and thought this card would be perfect to try this technique out on.

I then wrapped the vellum around the panel, secured on the back and attached panel to front of 6x4 card blank.  I thought a little butterfly on the sentiment would finish it off and so I heat embossed in white a butterfly from Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day Stamp set.  I used the same ink pads to add colour to the back of the vellum.  I then cut out the butterfly and attached to the sentiment.

This is the finished card.....Hope you like it as much as I do!

Bank Holiday Inky Fun!

Hi
Hope you have all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend - as per usual the weather wasn't so good so I decided to take advantage of it and have a little play in my cabin creating some inky backgrounds.

I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxides which I absolutely love - they are so creamy, they blend and layer so well and every time I just love the results!

Once I start I just can't stop!  I actually have to limit myself to a certain number of sheets of watercolour card and just wipe up the ink sometimes as I could just keep on going!

I also saw a card on Pinterest a while a go where the background was made up of circles and I wanted to try it. I just used a sponge and altered the pressure I used when stamping it out.  I then added splats of watered down ink and I was quite pleased with the result - it looked nothing like the beautiful card that inspired me!

I then stamped with my Essential Sentiments : Thinking of You Stamp Set, using just the flower from the set.  I added in the sentiment from my Essential Sentiments : Happy Birthday Stamp Set.
Tied twine around my panel and sprinkled some sequins on to finish the card that I layered onto black card stock before attaching to my card blank.
The colours I used for this card Distress Oxide : Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Wild Honey

And a little more...

I only managed to make another card from all those backgrounds, ran out of time!
I used one of the slim panels and stamped with my Garden Treasures Stamp Set, just in black ink, added a sentiment and layered onto black card stock before attaching to my card. A few sequins sprinkled around and the card is done! Simples - said like a meerkat!
The ink I used for this card was Distress Oxide - Seedless Preserves

And a little more...

Hope you like the cards - which is your favourite? Why?

Simon Says Stamp...Wednesday Challenge 22nd August!

This weeks challenge theme is:  Food and Drink
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the bottom of their post!

You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!!
All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!!
Good Luck to everyone!

So this is what I have made...

I used Pink and Main stamp set with Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon and Twisted Citron and stamped out the slice of fruit randomly all over the background of my card.

I then stamped the Martini glass in black ink onto card stock and cut to a tag shape.  I used the same colours of ink pads to colour around the edge of the tag.

I wanted to add lots of sentiments from SSS Messages for Everyday set, again using all the colours of ink pads to create a really lovely bright and colourful card design.

I trimmed all the sentients down in size, layered them onto black card stock so they would pop off the card. I used ribbon to wrap around my card and tie to secure the tag, adding foam pads to position it on my card.

I attached them to my card at different angels spilling down my card front.
